Mr. Kevin Beckner,
CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Beckner has more than 30 years of business experience within the private and public sectors. An alumni of the American College of Financial Planning, he has been a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner since 2002 and also holds the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant™ and Chartered Life Underwriter™. Elected countywide to the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners in 2008, he was reelected in 2012 and served through 2016. As one of seven commissioners, Mr. Beckner was responsible for enacting and administrating local public policy, approving an annual operating and capital budget that exceeded $3 billion, and providing constituent service and representation to over 1.2 million people. He is uniquely experienced in uniting and leveraging human resources and relationships to build coalitions and consensus groups that can help solve complex organizational challenges. A native of Michigan City, Indiana, Mr. Beckner graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1990 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with minors in Business and Psychology from Indiana University in 1993. He also attended Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Leadership program in 2013.
Mr. Kurt Wilkening
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Wilkening has over 25 years of experience in public sector human resource management that includes the areas of talent acquisition, job analysis, job evaluation, test development, selection and performance management. Mr. Wilkening also has extensive experience working with city councils, boards, staff members, and selection committees on executive search projects for local governments in Florida. Mr. Wilkening holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences, and a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Valdosta State University.
Ms. Meghan Deveau, SPHR
Ms. Deveau brings over nine years of experience in both private and public sector human resource management that includes talent acquisition, test development, selection and performance management, benefits, workers’ compensation, training, and employee relations. Ms. Deveau earned a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and received a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from University of Central Florida. She earned her SPHR in 2015.
Mr. William Mazurek, LSSBB, FSCE, CIA
Process Improvement Analyst
Mr. Mazurek has over 30 years experience in public, private and non-profit sectors focusing on business administration, operations, human resources, quality systems management and higher education (Adjunct Professor). Bill is a proven champion of lean, six-sigma and operational excellence supporting various industries. He has in-depth experience serving on and working with public and private boards, councils, action committees and advisory posts; Humane Society, Florida Medical Manufacturers Consortium, Florida Advanced Technological Education Center, the Bioscience Education Consortium – Saint Petersburg College, Chairman of the Medical Device Industry Education Consortium and Business Advisory Council Chairman for Florida.
An alumni of the University of South Florida (Bachelors of Engineering), the University of Miami (Masters of Business Administration) and Jon M. Huntman School of Business – Utah State University (Executive Management Japanese Study Tour). Bill is a ‘Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt’, ‘Florida Sterling Council Examiner’ and ‘Certified Internal Auditor’ (International Register of Certificated Auditors). Professional membership includes: the ‘Society for Human Resource Management’ and the ‘Bay Area Manufacturing Association’.
Mr. Mazurek is a recipient of Governor Scott’s Business Ambassador Award (2014) and the Florida Business Advisory Council -Man of the Year Award, in 2003 & 2005.
